TEFL TESOL 500-HOUR program is delivered in full by a trainer. The training focuses on Curriculum Development

 

This course is designed to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes of an English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language teacher in accordance with international English Language Teaching standards and the Ministry of Education Regional Office of Huancavelita, Peru.

 

It covers Core competencies such as:

- Examine the advantages of Communicative Approach in teaching English

- Familiarize the CLIL Approach or Content and Language Integrated Learning
- Identify basic theories behind teaching and learning languages,

- Demonstrate effective language teaching techniques and strategies,

- Present knowledge on English grammar and phonology,

- Use standard methods of teaching language skills and systems,

- Plan language lessons for various age groups and levels,

- Facilitate observed teaching practices for various age groups and levels,

- Reflect critically on learning experiences and relate to educational context,

- Present a curriculum with compiled teaching materials and resources.

 

This course is intended for both Filipinos and Foreign Nationals, who are of legal age and, with some college or bachelor’s degree of any specialization.

 

Notice: The shipping of the printed certificate is not part of the tuition because the issuance of the printed certificate is optional.

The trainee will only be issued with a digital certificate every after course completion.

  • Entry Requirements:

    Fluent in both Oral and Written English Language as evidenced by an English Pro-ficiency Test with a score of C1 or 7.0 in IELTS Speaking and 6.5 in IELTS Writing

    At least 18 years old upon completion of the program.

    Some college or College degree with no preference of any major or course.

     

    General Evaluation:

    HIGHLY COMPETENT - the trainee garners at least 85% total rating or higher
    COMPETENT – the trainee garners at least 70% total rating but lower than 85%
    NOT COMPETENT -the trainee receives 69% or below in total rating

     

    Moderation and Course Audit:

    The course is externally moderated and audited by the Ministry of Education Regional Office of Huancavelita, Peru and the American Council on Training and Development (ACTD), NJ USA.
