#OET #IELTS FOR #NURSES ADJUSTED, #NMC

As published online in the Nursing Times, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has adjusted the English Test Score requirements effective February 2023. This change will affect those 2 test results when combined within the 12 month period (clubbing of scores). The scores eligible for clubbing would be not lower than 6.5 in Listening, Reading and Speaking and Writing must be 6.0 in IELTS or C in OET.

Furthermore, "the other change that will come into effect later this year is that the NMC will allow applicants who have worked in a UK health or care setting for 12 out of the last 24 months to submit an employer reference as evidence of English-language proficiency instead of a test". "This option will be available to applicants who have trained in English in a “non-majority English speaking country”, and those who only just miss the required score on an OET or IELTS test". NursingTimes.Net
